I love to bake bread. While this bread was very tasty it is not the bread I am talking about. While we know it takes a lot of care and ingredients to make the perfect loaf of bread there is only one ingredient for our daily bread:
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
John:6:35
We concentrate so much on what is going on in the world that we tend to overlook the obvious. If you are not starting and ending your day with Jesus, you have not received your daily bread. You have missed the opportunity to enrich your life.
Not to worry this is not going to interrupted your coffee time, your gaming time, your work time. Dedicate ten minutes at night and in the morning for prayer and scripture. It is a small amount of time that will change how you think, recharge your health and satisfy your quest for knowledge.
While the Bible can be difficult to read it is worth the challenge. I really don’t like to read so it took me a year to read it from cover to cover. It was an immediate sense of fulfillment when I finished the last paragraph.
I am now going back through the Bible and am doing more research into what is hidden in its pages. Who knew that the earth was full of angels and that some of those angels married humans. To find out what happens to them you have to read Genesis.
What your dose of daily bread….begin now to explore the Bible.
Peace and good health to you in the new year.
