The title is a country phrase that has been used a lot in my lifetime. I can’t say why other people use it but I picked it up growing up and working in tobacco. If you ever drove a tobacco harvester you know you had to drive it between the rows.
I guess you could say the same applies to life. In order to maintain balance we have to organize the things that are important in ours lives and not allow the garbage to overflow!
While I have been retired now for almost seven years, I don’t miss the hectic pace. I don’t miss juggling work and play when I can just.”play”.
While there are even now tasks I hate like taxes, but I am still able to do them. Certainly I try to offset that task by doing something fun afterwards.
Keeping the garbage to a minimum is key. While yes you should keep up with current events, you are not part of it so absorb what you need then throw out the rest and move on.
If you make God the driving force in your life it is easy to keep it in the rows. There won’t be as much garbage falling in your path. His light will always be available to you. You do not have to live in the dark.
Live in the light. It’s awesome.
