My husband likes to just get out and ride, not my thing, but he drags me along. Today, we set out for the Poor Man’s Flea Market east of Greenville, NC. We arrived to a busy market. We walked, and we walked and found nothing to our liking. There was a nice breeze that made our walk enjoyable.
We left the Flea market and made our way down Hwy 17 to New Bern. One of our favorite places in New Bern is their farmer’s market. Normally, only open on Saturday, it turned out today was a special event. Today, they had a plein air art show. While an art enthusiast myself, I enjoyed seeing what local artists were painting.
My husband of course was standing around with his hands in his pockets absolutely bored. He did tolerate it though and allowed me to visualize up close and personal each painting. While there were some abstract pieces my daschund probably could have painted there were also several that I considered of decent value.
We left the showing and began our journey back home. Not bad for a Sunday ride. Sometimes you have to break away from the normal and do the abnormal, try something unique, go somewhere you have never been, or like us, just take off with no direction.
Follow your heart or inspiration, but break away from the high-tech lifestyle and just CHILL!
Have a great day!
