Through My Eyes

Forgive me, my followers, for being tardy on posting. I have been distracted. I am so happy that we have now slid into Fall. The changing seasons always mean not just a change of weather but also lifestyle changes. While summer may be good for the younger generation, I prefer the weather and activity that Fall brings.

A few days ago, we stripped our camper of everything that made it ours so we could make it ready for sale. While we enjoyed our years in this camper, it’s time to make a change.

As we age like the seasons, we have to adapt. We’re not giving up anything, just making some adjustments. We’re not allowing advance age to take over. We are adjusting to it.

Last year at this time, we were already seeing signs of changing leaves now, nothing! I am really enjoying the few cooler days and hope they will stay for a while. My walks might get longer now that extreme heat won’t be a problem. I am already engaged in fall cleaning. While cleaning is never pleasant, I look forward to purging unnecessary things. And for you shoppers, it’s a great time to find those fall/winter bargains.

While the grossly high prices of gas may limit our travel, I refuse to let it dampen my Fall spirit. Our trips may be closer to home, but I’ll just have to opt for places that will make more of an impact.

While the world may be we in turmoil, I try to maintain peace in my world. I always keep a canvas on my easel but may opt to do some plain aire painting since the weather is more pleasant. I still have a large supply of fabric scraps for that next quilt project. Fall is also a great time to schedule some of those “honey do” projects!

So, for you, summer enthusiasts don’t be disheartened. You might have to put your pool on hold but get outside anyway. Now is a great time for hicking and running. Whatever you do outside, be safe but enjoy the great outdoors.

Until next time, give God the glory, brush the dust off your shoes, and get stepping. Have a great day, guys.
