Urgent Need…How You Can Help Western North Carolina

If you have been on Facebook, Instagram,Tiktok, or any number of social media platforms, you now know what has happened to western North Carolina.

While a lot of people want to go to the mountains and physically help, they are asking people to stay away for safety reason to let emergency personnel and authorized organizations that are equipped to help enter those regions.

You can, however, donate to legitimate organizations that can quickly get those funds in use for needed supplies for those affected areas. Here is an article that lists some of those agencies:

I will start a list of my own and post any additional links that can be verified. Beware of scamners, but you can also donate on gofundme sites.

Stay safe, but donate. Surviving this tragedy could depend on you.

Please like and share this information with as many people as possible.

If you want to help a specific area, contact the city manager’s office of that town.

Weekend Travelogue

Friday morning, my sister and I decided to venture out on a quick overnight excursion. Heading northwest from our location, our first stop as at Old Historic Stagville.

Stagville is one of the oldest plantations in NC.  To find details on Stagville, visit https://historicsites.nc.gov/all-sites/historic-stagville

To pause for a little wine and relaxation, the next leg of our journey took us to Rock of Ages Winery.

Plan your visit by going to their web site at https://rockofageswinery.com

It just keeps on getting better. The next leg of our journey takes us to Shangri-la Village, Prospect Hill, NC.

Leaving here amazed, we ventured on to Danville, where we tried our luck at Caesars Virginia.

This morning we faced the bad weather and headed on home.

Don’t forget to like, follow and share.

Stay tuned for our next adventure!
